What a done-for-you website includes

· Tendarr

A done-for-you website is a finished public site for a business: the pages, the search titles, the launch copy, and a live URL, built from a short brief. You describe what you sell and who should find you. The service writes it, designs it, and publishes it. You do not receive a login to an empty theme.

What “done” means

A website builder — Squarespace, Wix, Framer, Carrd — hands you a template and an editor. The decisions stay with you: what the business is, which services get a page, what the title tag says, whether the quote form is three fields or twelve.

Done-for-you means those decisions ship with the site. At Tendarr the first job is the public face of the business:

  • A site written for the business, finished enough to launch.
  • Search structure: titles, service pages, and wording people can actually look up.
  • Marketing materials that match the site — launch copy, a one-pager, social language.
  • Deploy: a live URL, without a hosting account or a GitHub login.

That is the website. It is the start of the business online, and it has to exist before anything else is worth building. The pages that make a service shop findable are their own subject — which pages a service business website needs.

Who it is for

Owners of small service shops who already know the work and do not want a second job as webmaster. A drainage company that needs the phone to ring. A piano studio that should show up when a family nearby searches for lessons. A bookkeeping firm whose current site is one page and says nothing specific.

If you like designing in a builder, this is the wrong product. The trade is pixel-level control for a site that exists and says the true thing.

What you still do

You brief the business. The useful brief is short: what you sell, who it is for, the city or neighborhood if the work is local, the services that deserve their own page, and what a visitor should do next — call, book, or request a quote.

A few photos of real jobs help. A forty-page brand book is not required to put the shop on the internet. After launch, you read recommendations if you turn the watch on, and you say when something on the page is wrong.

What happens after the URL is live

Launch is the day the shop is on the internet. It is the point the public site can start being found. It is also when the weak spots show up: a title nobody searches, a form people abandon, a button that says “Learn more” when you wanted a call.

Watchful agents are optional, and they come after the site is up. Turned on, they sit with the live site, notice those weak spots, and leave recommendations. They do not replace the pages. There is nothing to tend until the site exists.

A backoffice comes after that, if you want one: scheduling, quoting, a client portal, a staff login. Same motion as the site — you describe the tool, it gets built — and only once the public site is live. Most shops need to be found before they need internal software.

How a shop gets started

Open Tendarr, sign in, and tell us the business. Early shops went live the same week the brief was usable, search pages included. The clock starts from that brief.

Questions

How is a done-for-you website different from Squarespace or Wix?

Squarespace and Wix give you the editor and a theme. A done-for-you website gives you the finished site: copy, service pages, search titles, and a live URL. You brief the business; you do not complete a template.

How long does a done-for-you website take?

Early Tendarr shops went live the same week the brief was usable, with search pages included. The clock starts from a clear brief — what you sell, who should find you, and what a visitor should do next.

Do I need to buy hosting or use GitHub?

No. Tendarr publishes the site and hands you the live URL. You do not open a host account or a GitHub account to launch.

Can the site change after launch?

Yes. After the site is live you can enable watchful agents, which recommend changes from how the page converts — a tighter call to action, a shorter form, a title people search. A backoffice such as bookings or a client portal can be added once the site is up.
